We are planning to present the Rutter "Gloria" at the Southland Symphony Orchestra and Chorus Season Opener
Sunday October 8, 2023 at 4pm
*This Season Opening Concert will be presented at Gardiner W Spring Auditorium!
Our regular rehearsals will be, as usual, on Tuesday evening from 7:30 - 9 pm at Bethel Congregational Church 536 N Euclid Ave Ontario CA 91762 (always use the rear entrance for rehearsals). Rehearsals begin in September 5, 2023.
NOTE - there are special audio practice tools for our singers on the SSOC Members Only Page. Password is required. Request your password from Dr. Mann.
Rehearsal Schedule: Tuesdays at 7:30 pm: September 5,12,19,26, Oct 3
SATURDAY REHEARSALS: 1pm - 2:30pm. (optional but encouraged - for extra help, and for a few who cannot attend on some Tuesdays.)
- Sat September 9th : 1 - 2:30pm - at Bethel
- Sat September 16 1 - 2:30pm - at The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints (in Chapel), 701 E Rosewood Ct, Ontario, CA 91764 (parking lot entrance at 4th St and Campus Ave. This change in location is because of the Car Show on Euclid that day (Cruisin' Reunion).
- Sat Sept 23rd: 1 - 2:30pm at Bethel
Dress Rehearsal: Saturday October 7 REQUIRED FOR ALL SINGERS. Chorus will rehearse with Orchestra from 9:30am - 11am
CALL TIME for Concert Sunday October 8 - 2pm at Gardiner Spring!
(We have confirmed Gardiner Spring, the details are that we will be in the hall ONLY ON SUNDAY OCT 8 for the concert. So - because Sunday will be our only time in the hall - we need to have a 2pm call for a brief warm-up/sound-check, since we would have no actual full rehearsal in the hall.
We will also need volunteers (experience preferred) to assist with set-up. We will have access at 1pm. Let Dr Mann know if you can help.
We have added some additional learning resources/tracks, etc,below....in the meantime - go ahead an email Dr. Mann to let us know that you want to SING!
