Season Opening Concert
featuring new works by living composers, as well as an appearance by a young conductor (winner of the 23-24 Season Finale Conducting prize). Our Program includes Faure's “Cantique de Jean Racine” and “Requiem”, Op. 48, with soloists Coril Prochnow, soprano, and Michal Dawson Connor, baritone, as well as the “Elegie” for Cello and Orchestra, featuring our principal cellist, Jocelyn Francis. Also on the Program - a World premiere by composer and SSO violinist Noah Cisneros, and “The Heavenly Country” for Cello and Strings, again featuring Jocelyn Francis, by Michal Dawson Connor.
