Bread On The Waters is set for Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 3:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Upland.
"Feeding Hope Through Song"
Participating singers, choirs, churches and ensembles will come from Upland, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Claremont and Pomona (so far). Bread On The Waters is an annual an event that is meant to let us sing in support of the work against local hunger, especially that of the Inland Valley Hope Partners.
SSO Chorus members will be there as part of an ad-hoc chorus, including members of the SSO Chorus, the Claremont Chorale, Mountainside Chorale, and the many other groups participating in this important event.
This year's ad-hoc chorus selections are planned to include Brahms "How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place", from the Requiem, and 3 Spirituals: "Soon Ah Will Be Done", "The Battle of Jericho", and "In Dat Great Gettin' Up Mornin' "
